AFRICA ( NAIROBI & MASAI MARA 4 Days/ 3 Nights)

Nairobi, is the most dynamic city, also known as the “green city in the sun” for many reasons. It is Kenya’s largest city with a population of nearly four million. Masai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: “Mara,” which is Maa (Masai language) for “spotted,” an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI
Upon Arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport off flight (TBA), clear with immigration’s and customs and proceed to the international arrivals area where you will find our representative waiting for you with that “Jambo, Karibu Kenya” smile. (Check for a paging board displaying your booking name). You will be assisted to your vehicle and transferred to your city hotel. You will be assisted with check in formalities followed by pre safari briefing.
Evening will be at leisure. Dinner will be on own account, Overnight stay at your hotel (Bed and breakfast basis).

DAY 2: NAIROBI – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
You will enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel between 0630 and 0715 hrs, Check out of rooms, meet your safari driver guides and board your customized safari van by 0730 hrs. You will begin one of your most memorable drives as you head to Kenya’s and one of Africa’s most popular wildlife safari destinations, The Masai Mara. Shortly after leaving Nairobi, you will descend down the floor of the Great Rift Valley, a geographical phenomenon stretching all the way from Northern to Southern Africa (Lebanon to Mozambique), covering over 9,000 kilometers. Here, you will have a photographic stop over as you enjoy stunning views. Proceed to the Mara, arriving at your lodge /tented camp in time for lunch. You will then enjoy a guided evening game drive, where the thrill of searching for the BIG 5 and several other attractions to this park begins. You will return to your lodge by 1800 hrs. Dinner will be served at your lodge. Overnight stay at your lodge / tented camp Meals:(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
You will enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives at dawn and dusk respectively when the wildlife is very active. You may also opt for a near full day game drive, departing the lodge with packed lunches with the near full day spent in the vast park in search of wild animal sightings and enjoying the captivating Masai Mara landscape.This day, your expert guide will be trying to spot the animals that you may not have spotted the previous day or sightings of your interest. You will be amazed by this park which is renowned all over the world for up close wildlife experiences. The reserve is home to over 95 mammal and over 450 bird species. The Masai Mara is the southern extension to Tanzania’s Serengeti and they share the same ecosystem. However, the high wildlife density sees to it that you get to see as many animals and varied species without having to drive for long distances or spending so many days in the reserve. This is what has made the Mara a popular site for recording and shooting of popular wildlife documentaries like the Nat Geo Wild and Big Cat Diary. The annual wildebeest Migration which is a rare wildlife spectacle that involves over 1.5 million Wildebeests and Zebras also take place here between July and October. Mid morning and early afternoon will be at leisure at your lodge where you can also enjoy a swim. This day you can also enjoy OPTIONAL activities like enjoying a HOT AIR BALLOON flight over the vast Masai Mara Savannah or visiting an authentic Masai homestead (Manyatta). All meals and overnight at your Lodge/Tented Camp (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

DAY 4: MASAI MARA / NAIROBI/DEPART
Breakfast will be served at your lodge. Check out by 0730 hrs and begin your drive back to Nairobi where you will arrive late in early afternoon. You may have optional lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant, Handi Indian Restaurant /similar restaurant (Payable Directly). This afternoon, you can also head to the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum or National Museum for a tour (Payable Directly). You may also visit the Maasai market where you can purchase local handcrafts as souvenirs of your Kenya safari or head to one of the malls.
You will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International airport in time to catch your evening or overnight international flight to your next destination with lifetime memories of Nairobi, “the green city in the sun” and Masai Mara, one of the world’s most popular wildlife reserves.
